Tinybeans has a free plan with 20 photo or video uploads a month, 5GB of storage and ads. Tinybeans+ costs $7.99 a month or $74.99 a year and adds unlimited uploads, 200GB of storage and no ads, according to Tinybeans' help center as of 15 Oct 2026. The App Store listing offers a two-week free trial.

Below is what each plan includes, how the price changed, how to cancel and what happens to your photos afterwards. Every fact comes from Tinybeans' own App Store listing, its help center and its company reports, checked on 15 Oct 2026. We make Our Little World, a different baby book app.

Is Tinybeans free?

Yes, Tinybeans has a free plan, and it is limited by uploads and storage. Tinybeans' help center says free accounts can upload up to 20 memories a month, up to a total of 5GB, with ads, as of 15 Oct 2026. A memory is one photo or one video. Followers you invite get their own login to view the journal.

Sources for the table, checked 15 Oct 2026, are Tinybeans' pages on what Tinybeans+ includes, the free plan and photo book prices.

Tinybeans' own pages disagree on Tinybeans+ storage. The pricing block on its photo sharing app page says 200GB, while the FAQ further down the same page says 2TB. We use 200GB, which also appears on the App Store listing and in the help center.

Ads don't disappear completely on Tinybeans+. Tinybeans says you will still see in-house articles in the Home feed and receive marketing emails unless you unsubscribe.

What is Tinybeans+ Legacy?

Tinybeans+ Legacy is a cheaper paid plan for families who upload less often. Tinybeans says Legacy includes 200GB of storage, shared benefits with another user and 20 uploads a month. Tinybeans' help center doesn't give a Legacy price. The in-app purchases on the App Store listing included two Tinybeans+ Legacy prices, $4.49 and $39.99, as of 15 Oct 2026, without saying which is monthly and which is yearly.

Legacy suits a family with years of photos past the 5GB free limit who mainly want to keep seeing them. Tinybeans' FY25 results list the Legacy plan as launched in its year to 30 June 2025.

When did Tinybeans raise its price?

Tinybeans raised the price of Tinybeans+ in May 2023, from $4.99 to $7.99 a month and from $39.99 to $74.99 a year. That comes from Tinybeans Group's full-year results (Appendix 4E) for the year to 30 June 2023, filed with the Australian stock exchange. The same report says the free plan and Tinybeans+ launched in April 2023.

Some comparison sites date the increase to 2024, but Tinybeans' own report puts it in May 2023. Tinybeans also says older Family Premium subscribers now pay the standard $74.99 a year or $7.99 a month, while lifetime members see no change.

How do you cancel Tinybeans+?

You cancel where you subscribed. Tinybeans gives these steps.

  1. In the Tinybeans app, tap More.
  2. Tap Manage Subscription.
  3. Tap your subscription and choose to cancel.
  4. If you subscribed on the Tinybeans website, cancel from the billing page on tinybeans.com instead.

App Store subscriptions can also be turned off in your Apple Account settings. The App Store listing says Tinybeans+ renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Before you cancel, export what you want to keep. Tinybeans' bulk export needs Tinybeans+ and the website. It arrives as emailed links that download one month at a time and expire after 5 days, and Tinybeans suggests asking for three years or less per request.

What happens to your photos after you cancel?

Tinybeans doesn't delete your memories because you cancel, but you may lose sight of older photos. Tinybeans says your features stay active until the end of the term you paid for. After that, ads return and uploads drop to 20 a month, and the journal becomes subject to the 5GB free storage limit.

If your journal is over 5GB, Tinybeans keeps your newest photos visible and archives older ones. Archived memories come back if you upgrade again, and you can't upload more until you do. Free users whose memories were archived can export them at no cost from the More tab of the app.

Tinybeans also says an account with no logins, upgrades or photo book purchases for 12 months may be permanently deleted, after email reminders. Several App Store reviews from 2025 describe older photos being locked until they paid. Our post on what happens to a baby book if you stop paying explains what to check in any app.

Is Tinybeans+ worth it?

Tinybeans+ is worth it if you post most days and your relatives follow along by email. At 20 uploads a month, the free plan covers a few photos a week. The price buys unlimited uploads, five-minute videos, no ads for everyone who follows your journal and free photo book shipping in the US.

It is harder to justify if you mostly want a free place to share photos. FamilyAlbum's free plan has no upload cap, and our Tinybeans vs FamilyAlbum comparison covers the trade-offs. If you're weighing a move, our Tinybeans alternative page lists other apps worth a look.

The app we make: Our Little World is a private baby book app for iPhone and iPad. Our Little World finds your child in the photos on your iPhone and lays them out month by month, and two parents share one family space on one plan. As of 15 Oct 2026, Family is $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year and Family Plus is $11.99 a month or $99.99 a year, per our pricing page. There is no free plan, only a free trial of 7 days on monthly plans or 14 days on yearly. There are no ads. If your plan ends, you can still read your Journal, look at your Favorites and export everything you made, and photos the two of you shared are kept for 30 days after a paid plan ends so you can renew or export them. Our Little World isn't for Android families, anyone who wants a printed book or anyone who needs a free plan.
